The North Central Electric Cooperative service territory is divided into seven districts and is governed by a nine-member board. Each year, the cooperative accepts nominations for election to three seats on the board of trustees. District candidates must submit nominating petitions bearing at least 25 signatures of members residing in their district to qualify for the election. When one district receives more than two valid petitions during an election cycle, the cooperative must hold a run-off election within the contested district to narrow the field to two candidates before the all-member election held in May, per North Central’s Code of Regulations.

This year, three candidates submitted valid petitions for District 7 on the North Central board of trustees. Members within this district are asked to cast a ballot for one of the three candidates seeking election this year. The two candidates receiving the most votes will move on to the all-member election in May.
